Fred continued to cling to Alex, knowing she had to get better for her little girl. It broke her heart to know her John wouldn't be there to see his daughter grow up but she knew he would be watching over. And when John came over to embrace the both of them, Fred found herself leaning against him. She knew it wasn't her John but having them there was doing wonders for the both Alex and her.
As John guided them down to the Gate room, Fred looked around. She was glad to be finally getting out of there. She looked at Carson and gave him a sad look. "I'm so sorry about what I did to you, Carson," she whispered.
Carson reached and took Fred's hand. "I don't blame you, Fred. And I never will. I'll always be there for Alex and you in any way I can," he promised her.
It made Fred feel a lot better, knowing she wasn't going to go through this alone.
Soon, Ronon and Rodney returned with another woman. "She was all we could find," Rodney said with a small shrug. "The rest of them must be hiding."
"It'll have to do," Sam said. "We need to get them through the Gate."
Nodding, Rodney ran up to Operations and dailed the Gate, using the address Sam had gave him. Soon, the Gate came to life and Fred stepped toward it. She stopped, however and looked at John.
"Thank you, John," she said as she gave him a faint smile. "Thank you for coming here and helping us. Take care of your family."
With Alex snuggled against her, Fred turned and walked through the event horizon.
