"See I told you Tim was brilliant," Jeannie said with a grin as she leaned over to kiss her husband's cheek. "You didn't believe me."
John found it rather amusing to see Rodney have to agree, considering the insults - veiled and not - that he had been throwing his brother-in-law's way for the last several days. Tim seemed pleased that he had been able to help with his wife's work.
"Well, I suppose that I should--," John started to say just as Fred, Daniel and Ronon came in with the machine. His brow furrowed when his wife told them where the alien parasites had originated from, and he shook his head in disbelief. "It figures." The Ancients did seem to create a lot of punishments or do experiments that either didn't work the way they wanted or they up and left behind.
When Rodney started raving about the fact that Ronon had shot the top of the machine so they could open it, John found himself laughing until he insulted the military as a whole. "Hey! You know that we don't go shooting everything. If we did, you'd have several bullets in your ass by now, Meredith."
Rodney turned and glared at him.
"Besides, who cares, as long as it still works." John looked over at Fred, sending her a mental nudge to let her know that he was still trying wind Rodney up a bit. "It still works, right?"
