John took Alex back into his arms as Fred mentioned getting the bug down to Carson. Following her to the transporter, he laughed when their daughter said that he hadn't been good, looking down at her, which was difficult since she was hiding her face against his shoulder. "Hey, tell Mommy I was very good."
"No," she said with another giggle.
Shaking his head, John looked back to his wife. "Everything was fine...well, besides the fact that you weren't here. Elizabeth has a long road ahead of her, but I think she'll be all right. I told Caldwell I'd be down to check on them later."
In medical, John stood back while Fred handed Carson the container with the bug in it. When she mentioned who she had gotten it from, he noticed Carson's reaction of surprise - which didn't surprise John at all. Caitlin O'Neill. Now that was a name they hadn't heard in a while.
"Erm...thanks," Carson said as he took the container. "Lucy, eh?" He shook his head before going to put the container in one of the quarantine cells in the infirmary's diagnostic area. He stared at it for moment before turning back to Fred. "How...how is she doing? Caitlin, I mean. Is she doing all right? Did she say how things have been for her?"
