"It's fine. We both forgot and Jake didn't do anything to remind us," Fred said. She leaned over and softly kissed John for several moments before pulling back. "I'll meet you in my room." She gave him another soft kiss before slipping out of the bed. Fred quickly picked up her panties and nightshirt, and went back to her room with Jake at her heels.
She tossed her dirty clothes on the bed, making a mental note to ask John if there was a place to wash them, and started to rummage through her suitcases. Fred finally decided on a white tank top, thin green hoodie and a pair of jeans. She went to the bathroom to wash up and brush her teeth before getting dressed. When she was finished, Fred came back out to the main room and slipped her sneakers on. She then looked down to see Mr. Chuckles and picked him up.
"Come here, Jake," Fred said before sitting down on the bed. Jake jumped up and laid down in front of her. "I know you've had this clown for a few months but you know, John doesn't like it very much and it kind of scares him. Since we're going to be spending a lot of time with him, I think we better get rid of it so he doesn't have a nervous breakdown. Besides, you have your bunny here, too. Deal?" She held out her hand and Jake got up and put his paw in hers. "Good. Also, thanks for putting it in his bed last night. I'll give you an extra treat later."
Slipping off the bed, Fred took the clown and threw it away. She then picked up Jake's leash and hooked it on his collar, then waited for John to show up.
