Fred smiled when Daniel came through the Gate. "It's good to see you again, Daniel. And in better weather," she said before they started up the steps and to the meeting room. Laura had the morning off and had offered to watch Alex so they wouldn't have to take her to the meeting.
Once they were in the room, all of them sat down. Carter opened her mouth to say something but Daniel waved to get her to stop.
"Before I forget, I have a message from SGC for Doctor Keller," he said as he pulled out an envelope and handed it to Jennifer.
Furrowing her brow, Jennifer opened it up. After she'd read it, she looked up. "I've been asked to come to Washington, DC tomorrow to speak with some top officials about my research on bio-terrorism," she said with a happy grin.
"By yourself?" Ronon asked. "I can't go with you because I'm going with John and Teyla to check a planet out."
"I can go with her," Fred said. "If you don't mind, Jennifer. I have tomorrow off from the lab."
"And I can watch Alex," Carson offered. "Your research is amazing, Jennifer. You should go."
"I don't mind at all. I actually do want to go," she said with a proud smile.
Carter nodded. "I'll contact SGC and tell them the two of you are coming through tomorrow morning and you'll need transport to DC," she said before turning to Daniel. "Now as for what happened..."
One-by-one, all of them told Daniel what had happened with the bottle. He listened to all of them, and nodded his head before Carter handed him the piece of paper they had found by the bottle. He unrolled it and looked it over before looking up.
"I've seen this language before. I uploaded my language datebase onto my computer. I can start looking through it as soon as we're finished here. I'm interested in what it says," Daniel said before he rolled the piece of paper up again and put it away.
