Fred had been so caught up in worrying about her parents that she almost didn't hear Ronon say she was a scientist. She had always wanted to be one but she was surprised that she'd gotten this far. She was a scientist and married to a military man and had a daughter named Alex. Fred gave John a small smile before looking at Ronon. Something was going on and it was making her feel a little uncomfortable.
When John touched her face, Fred found herself pressing against his touch. "I don't know," she whispered.
Alex started to whine and held her hands out for Fred. She reached over and took the baby from John's arms and held her close. She then looked at the rest of them before looking at John again. "Come on," she said as she reached down to take his hand.
"Where are the two of you going?" Ronon asked.
"Over there," Fred said as she nodded toward the back of the lab. "I want to talk to my husband in private."
"Just don't leave," Ronon warned.
Fred nodded and took John to the back where there was a desk with pictures of them and Alex on it. "It must be mine," she said as she looked over and saw a playpen with a teddy bear in it that was wearing a flight suit. Fred took Alex over to it and placed her in it before sitting down beside John. "I think Ronon is lying to me about my parents. And I'm sorry I don't remember marrying you."
She looked at John for a long moment and reached up to softly touch his cheek. Leaning forward, Fred softly pressed her lips to his and felt a shock of electricity go down her spine. Kissing John was amazing. Tilting her head, she ran her tongue over his bottom lip before slipping it inside of his mouth as she deeply kissed him.
