"Sounds like you had a full morning," Fred said as she tickled Alex's tummy, which made her squeal with laughter. She looked over at Carter and smiled when she saw Alex's shoe in her hand. She then looked at John. "Don't worry. Yesterday, I lost her shoe in the dining hall. Someone needs to stop kicking them off."
Alex giggled at that.
"The bottle isn't going anywhere," Fred explained. "None of our tests are working and Rodney thinks we should just smash it open."
"I don't think you should smash it open," Carter said just as Laura and Carson walked in.
"Colonel? Major Lorne asked me to bring these to you. He's getting ready to go off-world for the rest of the day and wanted to make sure you had them in your hand before you went to do your check," Laura said as she handed a tablet to John. She then looked over at Rodney and grinned.
"And I'm here to tell Fred and John that Alex's next shots arrived today so if you want to schedule a time to give them to her, I'm free tomorrow morning," Carson said.
Alex let out a little whine and hid her face against her mom's chest. Fred was about to say something to her daughter but stopped when she saw Rodney drop the bottle. The cap popped off and it started to glow. She instantly turned around and stepped closer to John since she didn't want Alex to be hurt by whatever was inside the bottle.
