John kissed his wife then looked over at Rodney and Laura, glad they had finally managed to get this far. He was afraid they would have had to go with Fred, Carson and Ronon's plan, and he was sure that wouldn't have been pretty. Especially since he was sure that Rodney would have pulled out his citrus allergy in some way, shape or form. Or mentioned Einstein and the catnip incident. Or both.
As he leaned his head against Fred's knew, he looked over at Ronon, Callie and Jennifer, wondering if Callie was implying what he thought she might be. When Jennifer told them news, he grinned broadly - he had been wondering when that would happen, considering that Jennifer seemed to practically be living with Ronon and Callie now, and Callie looked up to her as a mother as much as she looked up to Ronon as a father.
"So, how do you propose marriage, Ronon?" he asked, his eyebrows raised in interest.
"Usually by chipping off a piece of the rock and creating a bracelet for your mate," Ronon said. He pointed to the still whole thermometer around his neck. "Jennifer said that wouldn't work well with this."
"Yeah, didn't think we wanted mercury getting everywhere," she said.
"So Doctor Beckett helped me order a bracelet from earth for her," he continued. "He said the rock in it would be satisfactory."
Everyone looked at Carson. "Hey, he asked for help," he said with a shrug.
"So where's the bracelet?" Carter asked.
"I left it back in the city. Didn't want to lose it out here. I'll show it to you all later," she said with a smile.
Callie smiled. "And Ronon and Jennifer said they'd do the ceremony to become my new parents."
