When Carson finished with the bandage, Fred pulled her arm back and started to work on the distress signal. She finally got the alarms to shut off just as John and Carter hurried in. "All the computers started going off and we got this message with the signal," she said as she put the message on the big screen. "As you can see, it's from 2015."
Carter stepped forward and crossed her arms as she read the message. "Are you sure it's not some sort of prank?" she asked as she looked over at Fred and Rodney.
"We're sure. When the incident with Caldwell happened, Fred and I decided to put failsafes on all the computers so people couldn't pre-date things or set timers on them. The lab was the first system we did," Rodney explained to them. "Only Fred and I could do it and we were too busy dealing with Cadman's stupidity to pull something like this."
"And all scans I've done of the message has pointed toward the lab," Fred said.
Carter nodded and looked over at John. "I'm going to want to suspend all Gate activity until we know what's going on. We have until four to figure out what's going on. I'm going to Operations and inform all off-world teams to stay put for the time being," she said before walking out of the lab.
"I don't see what the big deal is," Carson said as he closed up the first aid kit. "Whoever it is has been nice enough to give us a warning."
