Kyri nodded, wondering if Todd and Andrew would be like the whelps from her village, running around wildly right after they learned to transform. She supposed she would find out soon enough, just before she slipped into a light sleep, curled up against her husband.
A creeking sound woke her up a little while later, but when Evan didn't move, she decided to stay still as well. The voices speaking were obviously that of his nephews, trying to sneak up on them, and Kyri could sense that her husband was planning to turn the tables.
Sure enough, he got them a few moments later, tickling the younger one. The older one got on the bed with them, so Kyri opened her eyes and twisted a bit to look at him, raising her eyebrow at him as she she shook his head.
"Your nephew is a bit impertinent," she said with a laugh.
Andrew's brow furrowed in confusion. "What does that mean?"
"It means you're nervy, and she's right," another voice came from the doorway. Kyri looked over to see a dark-haired woman with blue eyes standing there. She realized who she was before she even introduced herself. "Hi, I'm Anna. Evan's sister. It's nice to finally meet you, Kyri. I've been looking forward to meeting you since I heard my brother got married."
Kyri smiled. "It's nice to meet you too."
"What about me?" Todd asked as he bounced on the bed.
"I'm glad to meet you too," she told him with a smile.
