Caitlin didn't want to do this. She just wanted things to be normal and not have to worry about what her friends were going to think of her. The time Carson and her spent with Kyri's uncle had helped a lot and when they got back, she found herself becoming more attached to Rodney. That phase lasted for a few days before she moved on to Kade. Now their relationships were back to normal but she still needed to tell everyone what had happened. She had told her father and brother the night before, and CT seemed a little upset about it.
When Sam spoke, Caitlin looked over at her and slowly blinked her eyes. She could hear and smell everything around her, and she had to take several deep breaths to calm herself down.
"It's all right, Cait," Rodney whispered as he ran his hand over her hair. "They're are friends. They're understand or I'll kick all of their asses."
Caitlin looked at him and softly smiled before she turned toward the rest of them again. "As all of you already know, Kade had to transfuse his blood into me or I would've died," she began to explain. She paused and took comfort from having her spouses and their lover there. "Usually nothing happens but this time it did. I...because of my genes and having the ATA gene, Kade's transfusion made me into a Sangui. Everything they are, I am now."
"The legend is true. Have you spoken to Noll?" Ellia asked as she sat forward.
"No. It is Caitlin's place to decide when I speak to Noll," Kade said. "She has gotten through the initial stages of her change and has calmed down."
Caitlin took a deep breath and rubbed the back of her neck. "I think this might be a lot for all of you to take in but if you want me to step down from my position, I'll understand," she quietly said.
