Fred nodded her head and smiled. "We'll be all right, John. And if it becomes too much, I'll tell you. Promise," she said before she laid her hand over his. Leaning forward, she deeply kissed him for several moments before pulling back. Since it was getting late, Fred decided to wash up and get ready for bed. They had a long day ahead of them.
When morning came, Fred found herself not wanting to get out of bed. She would be content just laying there all day with her husband but she knew this was something they had to do. Getting up, she took a quick shower and got dressed before packing up again. Fred was sure they wouldn't have time to come back to the hotel before going to Las Vegas.
Once they were ready, they grabbed breakfast from the lobby of the hotel, and ate before leaving. Fred drove them out to the farm, her stomach feeling like a ton of lead as they grew closer. There was something about knowing it hadn't been an accident and her parents had been murdered that made her stomach churned. The sooner they found the relic, the better.
When they arrived at the farm, Fred killed the engine and looked at the house. "Lets get this over with," she muttered before getting out of the car. Using the key she still had, she went up on the porch and opened the front door. "You can check in the cabinet under the stairs and I'll just in the hidden one in the living room." She gave John a small smile before walking off to the living room.
