Fred knew Mere was going to be there soon. She felt the familiar pressure and continued to push. As she felt Carson pulling her daughter out, Fred let out a sigh of relief and then grinned when Meredith started to cry. "Hey there, baby girl," she whispered when Carson held the baby up for them to see.
Soon, Mere was sitting on her chest and Fred used the corner of the blanket to wipe the birth off her daughter's face. "There you are, and look how beautiful you are," she whispered as tears came to her eyes. Fred then looked at John. "Look how beautiful she is. I love you so much."
She turned her head and softly kissed her husband before looking down at Meredith again. Fred softly laughed when the baby looked up at her. "She does look different," she said. Gone was the blonde hair, which had been replaced with black. And, she had big brown eyes.
Fred then looked at John again before handing Mere to him. "Here's your daddy, sweetheart," she whispered.
