Grinning, Daniel helped Sam up from her chair and took her to a clearing in the room. He slipped his arms around her waist and started to sway with her. Smiling, Daniel returned her kiss. "Hmm, I think we both needed it," he murmured against her lips.
As they continued to dance, Daniel started to chuckle as he remembered the first time they danced. "Remember our first dance?" he asked with a grin. It had been a hot summer night in Colorado Springs, and Jack was visiting, and driving everyone nuts. Somehow, Sam had talked Daniel into taking a ride on her bike, even though he didn't find it safe. They ended up at a bar in a small town twenty miles from the SGC. "Your biker buddies were wondering why a beautiful woman like yourself was doing with a nerd like me."
Daniel shifted his arms and took Sam's hand before he twirled her around. He pulled her back into his arms, and smiled. "There are still times when I wonder why a beautiful woman like you is doing with a nerd like me," he whispered.
Dipping his head, Daniel captured Sam's lips in a deep kiss as he ran his hands up her back.
