Ronon pulled the covers up further over himself and Max as Callie and Lis appeared in the doorway. He knew he should have gotten them into their nightclothes, but Max had been so exhausted, and he had been...distracted. At least they were covered by the blankets. Even if the kids did know that they weren't wearing anything.
He found his brow furrowing when Finn said Callie had known that he and Max were going to fall in love. He looked over at Max, glad when Lis ushered them out so they could get dressed. Like the night before, however, he didn't know what to say, so he just nodded at her, sensing that she was nervous. Cupping her face, he kissed her gently before letting her go so they could get dressed.
When they went out to talk to the kids, Ronon crossed his arms, raising his eyebrows when Callie explained that she had known that this would happen between them. Suddenly, several looks he had seen his daughter give them over the last few weeks made sense.
She was right. If he had known...he wasn't sure that he would have allowed it. He didn't even realize that he had been ready to move on with Max until it had.
"It's all right, Callie," he told her, reaching out and drawing her over to give her a hug before looking over at Finn and Max. It was obvious that his son had become almost as attached to her as Ronon himself had. As they hugged, he looked over at Lis. "You all right with this?"
Lis nodded. "We want you to be happy, Dad. You're happy when Max is around."
"I'm happy when you three are around too, you know," he told her, wrapping his free arm around her.
"We know. You're just happier when she's around too."
Ronon chuckled and nodded, looking over at Max with a grin.
