Max was confused. She didn't understand how Ronon knew he heard was hurting or why she could feel things from him. She had heard Kyri, Cait, Sam, and Fred talking about their connections to their husbands, but it couldn't be happening between Ronon and her, could it? Neither of them had the ATA gene, and she never thought of herself as special. Maybe she was just tired.
With a grateful look, she let Ronon walk her home. She was about to answer his question when Chuck came jogging up to them.
"Communication is down at the moment but Doctor Jackson wanted me to tell you he took Finn, Callie, and Lis home with him, and that he'd watch them for the night," he told Ronon. "And I was also informed Caitlin is out of the woods, and will be all right."
"That's great news," Max said with a smile. "Thanks, Chuck."
Turning, she waved her hand over her control panel, and watched as the door slid open. Bailey was standing there, and whined a little. Bending over, Max scratched the dog behind the ears. "It's okay, girl. I'm fine. Ronon was there to help me," she said. Bailey whined again, and softly butted her head against Ronon's thigh before going back inside.
Max walked in after her, before looking at Ronon. "Make yourself at home," she said, knowing she had to answer his previous question. Sitting down on the couch, she let out a long sigh. "I'm okay...I think. It was scary for a while. And I could sense you - still can - and I don't know what that's all about."
Reaching up, she roughly wiped the tears from her eyes and then looked at Ronon. "I'm sorry. I'm being over emotional," she quietly said.
