Chuckling, Caitlin shook her head and went back to looking at Shaun. He was small but she knew he would be all right. He had four wonderful fathers to care for him, along with two big sisters. "Where's Erin and Charlie?" she asked without taking her eyes off Shaun.
"John and Fred have them," Rodney said.
"Good," Caitlin said, knowing the Sheppards would do a good job with taking care of their little girls, even if Alex and Erin bickered a lot, just like Fred and Rodney did.
They spent a little more time with Shaun before taking Caitlin out to the waiting room to see her dad and brother. All of them cried as Jack made her promise to never scare him again. He then thanked Kade for saving her life. When it because obvious Caitlin was getting, they took her back to her room and helped her into bed.
"Since your injuries were severe, you are going to have to feed from me a few times a day for the next day or so," Kade explained. "You should probably have some now."
"Okay," Caitlin said with a nervous look. "Since I don't have fangs..."
"I'll slice myself open, and you can drink from me," Kade said before he reached over and softly stroked her hair. "Just take a few deep breaths."
As Kade sliced his wrist open, Caitlin took several deep breaths. When he held his arm up to her, she took it and placed her mouth over the wound. The moment his blood touched her tongue, she had an urge to drink so she did. Caitlin could feel her body responding to Kade's blood, and she swore she could feel his arousal.
And she knew when it was enough, and stopped drinking before Kade said a word. "I can sense you," she whispered as Kade wiped a drop of blood from her lips.
"I sensed him, too," Rodney said as he looked at all of them.
