"Carson, don't cry," Caitlin softly said as she reached over and wiped the wetness from his cheeks. She didn't know why but seeing Carson cry had always broke her heart. She could still remember their first year in the city, and how sad he had been sometimes when it came to not seeing his mother. "I'm fine now."
When he got the wheelchair out, she sighed. Caitlin was pretty sure she could walk, but she wasn't going to fight with any of them. All she wanted was to see their son, and to see he was all right. And soon she was being pushed up to the incubator.
"Hey there, baby boy," Caitlin said as she looked in on him. Tears formed in her eyes and she smiled. "He's beautiful and...blonde."
"I was blonde when I was a baby," Rodney said before a look of realization passed over his face. He then smirked, and looked at Carson. "My sperm beat up yours."
Caitlin rolled her eyes. "Boys," she said before shaking her head. She then looked up at them. "What happened to cause the explosion?"
"It was Doctor Hayward. That machine he turned on last night makes exploding tumors. Yet another fuck up made by the Ancient," Rodney said, shaking his head.
Kade poked him in the side. "You shouldn't curse in front of your son," he said.
Caitlin shook her head, and looked up at Kade. "Our son. You're a father to him, too, Kade," she said.
