Daniel stopped and looked at the woman. If McKay hadn't put her up to this, then who had? He was going through all the possiblities in his head when she started to talk again. She had seen his theories in action? He blinked at that, and went back to staring at her.
When she mentioned an alternative reality, Daniel didn't know what to say. He knew there were many theories out there about them, but none had ever been proven. Chewing on his bottom lip, Daniel watched as she reached into her pocket, and pulled out a picture.
"What?" he asked when she said she was his wife in the other reality. Daniel couldn't believe it. Someone that beautiful would want him? However, when she showed him the picture, he just knew she wasn't lying.
"Sit down," he quietly said before he moved to sit behind his desk. "I know someone who might be able to help. He's a professor here, and his wife has done a lot of research on alternative realities."
Picking up the phone, he dialed John's cell, knowing the other man was probably still in class. After leaving him a message, Daniel looked at the woman again. "I'm sorry for what I said earlier. My mom always says I'm too paranoid for my own good," he said as he offered her a small smile. "I...do you have a name?"
