Sam didn't understand. How in the world had she gotten back to Earth? The Gate hadn't even dialed that she had remembered seeing. And how did the Gate there end up in museum, labeled as wall art?
Deep down, she knew where she was...after a fashion. She had dealt with it before. Daniel going through the Quantum Mirror. Her mirror self coming through.
She was in some sort of alternate reality. One where the Gate was thought to be wall art, and Catherine had given it to a museum. But why? Why had they never figured out what it was? And where was she in this universe? Where was Daniel?
As she walked, she realized people were looking at her as they passed. Her Atlantis jacket. Quickly, she reached up and tore her patches off, shoving them in her pocket. She then saw a newsstand and walked over to look at the newspapers. The Boston Herald. The Boston Globe.
Well, that explained where she was. Now, she needed to find a way home.
Luckily, it turned out that she wasn't that far from a library, where she got on one of the computers and did an Internet search. Starting with Daniel Jackson. Of course, there were quite a few Daniel Jacksons in the United States, but it wasn't long before she found him.
He was a professor. At Boston University.
Printing out the information on his office, she set out on the long journey across town to find him.
