Fred watched Rodney like a hawk as he put his candy away. She wasn't going to take them since Cait had asked her not to, but it was still fun to mess with Rodney. Especially when he saw her watching him. He narrowed his eyes a bit, and made sure to lock the drawer before Radek called, and they walked out of the lab.
"Okay. We'll be here when you get home. Love you," Daniel said over Sam's headset.
Once she saw Sam was finished with her call to Daniel, Fred moved to walk beside her. "So I guess this bridge Max helped Alex and Lis with might become a reality," she told the other woman as the three of them stepped on the transporter. "I guess when Atlantis was originally built, it had skywalk type bridges connecting the upper levels of the different towers. Max says those tiny balconies we found were the beginnings and endings of the bridges. I guess she's interested in seeing if she can build one. She said she was going to do some more research on it."
"Hm," Rodney said as they stepped out of the transporter. "Why would we need bridges connecting the towers? We have transporters."
"Because some of us like to exercise, and actually walk places," Fred said before they walked into the Gate room.
Rodney just snorted as Fred and him went to work on hooking up their tablets to the Gate's control panels. Once they were finished, Fred turned and looked up at Radek, who was standing next to Chuck and Amelia. Reaching up, she tapped her headset.
"Everything down here is ready to go," she told Radek.
"We might want to stand back," Rodney said as he took several steps back just as the Gate slowly sprung to life.
