When Ronon said she was too nice to be working for the IOA, Max found herself smiling. A real smile; something she hadn't done since coming to Atlantis. It was nice to have at least one friend in the city. It made things a little easier, knowing she had someone she could turn to if she needed it. And it made her feel a lot better.
Especially when Ronon made his offer.
"I'll do that," she said before looking down again.
She listened to him talk about why he was up, and frowned a little. Max had read the report about Doctor Keller's accident, and it broke her heart knowing she had left a husband and three children behind. She couldn't say so understood because she had never lost a spouse, but she could still be a friend to him.
She shrugged a little, and looked up at him before gaving him a gentle smile. "I know we aren't close or anything, but if you ever find you can't sleep, and want to talk about anything, you can always come and find me. I promise not to bore you," she told him before grinning. "Or, we can find something else to do. I know you're good with guns. I could hang out with you while you practice. Just don't give me one. The last time I had a gun in my hand I almost shot my brother in the behind."
