"Night, Daddy. Love you," Finn said as he snuggled down under his covers.
Ronon smiled. "Night, Finn. Sleep well."
Leaning over, he kissed the top of his forehead before leaving his room, closing the door behind him. He then went in and made sure that Lis and Callie were all right before heading to bed himself.
However, that night, like most nights recently, he found himself lying on the bed, staring up at the ceiling. While he had been a runner, he had never been able to sleep well since he had to be ready to run at a moment's notice, but during the last few years, he had overcome that.
Now...the insomnia had come back.
Getting up out of bed, he changed into the pants and shirt he used when he worked out and headed up to the gym. It was quiet in Atlantis since it was late at night, so he didn't run into anyone. He was glad for that, actually. Ever since Jennifer had died, he could see that most of the people didn't know how to act around him.
When he reached the gym, he grabbed one of the sticks from the corner and stood in the middle of the main part, going through several warm-up moves. Once he was finished, he jumped up and down a few times and then started practicing several moves. As he swept his arm up, though, the stick slipped from his fingers and went flying across the gym, clattering to the floor. Sighing, Ronon went over to pick it up, and as he did, he looked into the side room, his brow furrowing when he saw a sleeping bag in there.
"Max?" he said as he walked closer in order to see who it was.
