When they got back to their quarters, Fred put Chase down on the floor and went to find something to change into. After grabbing some clothes, she went into the bathroom to wash up before changing into a t-shirt and jeans. She was just putting her mission clothes in the hamper when there was a soft knock on the door.
"Mommy?" came Chase's voice. "Okay?"
Chuckling, Fred shook her head. She opened the door and grinned at her son. "I'm fine, little man," she said before taking his hand. "Where's your Daddy and sister?"
Chase pointed toward the living room so Fred and him walked out to it. "Mommy!" Alex said as she bounced a little in her dad's arms. "Daddy said if you say it's okay we can go to the cove!"
"Oh really?" she asked with an amused look.
"Cove!" Chase said.
"Well, I guess we can go out there for a while. But no swimming. The water is still a little cool. It should be warm enough in a month or so," Fred said. "And we can have a picnic."
"Picnic!" Chase said before he let go of Fred's hand. He ran over and picked up the basket Fred had forgotten to return to the dining hall. "Lets go!"
