Fred looked over at Torg and narrowed her eyes. Ever since the leader left to talk to their boss, Torg had been staring at them, his arms crossed like he was trying to be imposing. If her hands weren't tied behind her back, Fred knew she would be off the couch and kicking the smug off his face.
I'm going to hurt him, she told John as she continued to stare at Torg. Then I'm going to hand him over to Carson for medical experiments.
Just then, the door opened and the leader came walking out. "The boss is ready to see our guests," he said before turning toward Torg. "Untie them."
"What if they try something?" he asked.
"Do it!"
Trog grumbled under his breath and moved over to the couch. He pulled Fred up and untied her hands before doing the same with John. "And don't try anything funny or I'll shock the both of you," he warned.
They were led into another room by the group's leader, where a man was sitting behind a desk. "Thank you, Josen," the man said. The leader nodded and walked out of the room. The man behind the desk nodded at the chairs. "Have a seat."
"Why did you kidnap us?" Fred demanded to know as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"I apologize for that. I have a...favor to ask of you," the man said. "My daughter is marrying this evening and I want the Guardians to bless her union."
"What?" Fred said, her mouth dropping open. "You kidnapped us to bless a wedding?"
