"If you kick Jack's ass, I want front row seats," Daniel laughed as he finished the sandwiches. He then moved over to the stove to stir the soup.
When Sam hurried out of the kitchen, Daniel frowned in concern. He knew she was uncomfortable and he wished there was something he could do to make her feel better. He had asked John, Carson, and Alex what they did to make their wives more comfortable during the last month of pregnancy. He had gotten a lot of advice but none on how to get his daughter to stop playing kickball with her mom's bladder.
As Sam came back into the kitchen, Daniel moved over to the table and pulled a chair out for her. "What did I say about stepping on your mommy's bladder, squirt?" Daniel asked as he softly tapped Sam's belly. He then leaned down and softly kissed the top of his wife's head. "It'll be over soon."
Stepping back, he got the rest of their lunch finished. He put Sam's sandwich on a plate and some soup in a bowl for her. After setting it down in front of her, he got the crackers out before pouring her a glass of milk.
"There you go, hon," he said before getting his own food.
Once he was sitting down, he took a bite of the soup and looked over at his wife. "Everything all right?" he asked, motioning toward her food.
