Daniel placed his hand on the small of Sam's back and slowly rubbed it as they walked into the kitchen. Looking at his wife, he softly snorted and nodded his head. "At first he claimed it was because cribs nowadays are harder to put together. I pointed out cribs are the same now as they were in the early eighties," he said before moving over to one of the cupboards.
He opened it up and took down a can of chicken soup, and then grabbed the can opener. After getting the can open, Daniel grabbed a sauce pan and poured the soup into it. "Then he pointed out he didn't have the right tools. It was about that time when Cait walked by and heard us talking. It turns out Jack never put her or CT's crib together. He conned one of the base's engineers to do it for him, and then told his wife he had. Guess said engineer ended up being one of Cait's professors at VT and told her the story," he laughed before he turned the stove on to warm the soup. He then moved over to the fridge to get some things out for the sandwiches.
"Needless to say Jack wasn't happy so I had to take him for a beer. The entire time we were there, he kept saying you were going to kick my ass for being out drinking instead of being here with you," Daniel said as he started to make the sandwiches. "He really wants you to beat me for some reason."
