Evan's face broke out into a grin when Kyri returned his feelings. Part of him had been afraid of being honest with his feelings, especially where Mike had been concerned. But knowing Kyri loved him back made him feel like he hadn't felt since long before Marissa had hurt him. The most beautiful woman in the universe loved him and he was knew he was extremely lucky.
Groaning, he returned Kyri's kiss. When they broke apart, he let out a content sigh. "It sounds so nice hearing those words from you, hon," he whispered before leaning in for another kiss. He knew he would never get tired of loving her or being with her. Kyri was the best thing that had ever happened to him.
When they needed to breathe, Evan pulled back and rested his forehead against his. "We should stop with the pretenses and just move in together," he said with a grin. "We can get a room down in the family quarters since there's two of us. You'll love it down there with all the kids." He then softly snorted. "Just gotta watch out for those Sheppard kids. Alex likes to con pizza out of people, while Chase has been using his boyish charm to con candy out of all the women down there. They're just like their dad, after all."
