I'll help, Fred told John before taking his hand and leading him out of Operations.
Chuckling at Jack's quick escape, Daniel then turned and looked down at his wife. Sounds like a wonderful idea, he told her before giving her a soft kiss. Reaching down, he took her hand and went with her to their quarters. When they got there, Molly came running out of the kitchen.
"Dad!" she said before flinging her arms around him. "I missed you!" She then stepped back and wrinkled her nose a little.
"I know. I need to shower," he said with a small laugh. "I'm going to do that now and then I'll come and help you with the pancakes."
"Okay," Molly said before going back to the kitchen.
Daniel went to the bathroom and peeled his clothes off before sticking them in a plastic landry bag. He then stuffed it into the chute they had, figuring someone else could deal with the smell. He then got into the shower and scrubbed himself down several times before getting out again.
Once he was dried off, he tied a towel around his waist and went to the bedroom, where he changed into a pair of sweats and a t-shirt. "All clean," he announced as he came back out to the living room. He pulled Sam against him and kissed her for several long minutes.
"Dad? The mix is ready," Molly said as she peeked out of the kitchen.
Nodding, Daniel pulled away from Sam. "So who's that boy I saw you hanging around yesterday," he asked as he looked over at his daughter.
"Aden. He's Kade's son."
"Kade?"
"Kade. He's the Sangui that's teaching Uncle Carson and Aunt Cait how to better control Uncle Rodney so he's not acting stupid all the time," Molly said.
Daniel snorted and then looked over at his wife. Clearing his throat, he looked at Molly. "It's not nice to say mean things about others," he said.
"I'm just copying what you said the other day," Molly pointed out with an innocent look.
