For the rest of their honeymoon, they explored Vancouver and took in some of the sights. When it was time to go home, the five of them teleported back to the SGC, where Rodney called Laura to tell them of their decisions. Once he was finished with the call, he told his spouses that Laura would send the paperwork through to Atlantis once it was drawn up.
"Going home?" Erin asked as she bounced and pointed at the Gate.
"We are, angel," Caitlin said as she smiled down at her. No matter how nice it was to be away, it was even nicer to return.
They walked through the Gate to find Jack, CT, Jeannie and Tim waiting for them. Caitlin made a beeline for her father and tightly hugged him. "I know I don't say this enough but you're the best parent anyone can have, Dad," she told him.
When they pulled apart, Jack gave her a confused look. "Did something happen? Did you hit your head?" he asked.
"I spoke to mom and told her about my marriage. She doesn't approve and told me I was no longer a part of her life."
"Oh, Katie," Jack whispered before he pulled her into another hug. "I'm so sorry."
"Me too," CT quietly said as he reached out and rubbed his sister's back.
Caitlin pulled away and shook her head. "It's fine. Even though the two of you annoy me at times, I rather have you than her," she said with a small smile. "And Carson and Rodney were there for me and made it better."
Nodding, Jack turned and looked at Rodney before walking over to him. Rodney looked a little scared and opened his mouth but before anything came out, Jack had pulled him into a hug and clapped his back. "Thank you for taking care of my little girl," he said.
"Y-You're welcome," Rodney said.
Jack released Rodney and turned to Carson. "You too," he said before pulling Carson into a hug.
Snorting, Caitlin glanced at CT. "Has he scared Chuck like this?" she asked.
"I'm not sure. Although, Chuck did say something about dad having a hockey stick once," CT said with a laugh and shrug. "Oh! Someone by the name of Kade came over from the mainland this morning. He wants to speak to you and your husbands once you've gotten settled. He said Noll had sent him."
"That would be our new teacher," Caitlin said before looking at her father. "Dad! I think Carson may need to breathe!"
