"Aye, he really is," Carson agreed with Cait as he smiled at the expression on their husband's face. Both his spouses looked lovely after reaching orgasm, he always thought. But this was a side of Rodney that no one else ever got to see, and in a way, it made Carson feel special to know that he was one of two people in the entire universe who got to experience it.
After Cait kissed them and headed to the bedroom, Carson grabbed one of the other towels and ran it over Rodney, just to make sure he was clean. Rodney smiled at him.
"Times like this, I feel unbelievably lucky," he murmured, reaching up to touch his face.
"We all do, love," he told him before looking up as Cait returned with their pajamas.
While she disappeared again, they got dressed, Carson reached out to run his hand over Rodney's back before he pulled on his top. Rodney looked at him with a raised eyebrow and a snort, causing Carson to look at his hand, realizing what he was doing. Quickly, he finished getting dressed and took the towels back into the bathroom to put them in the hamper that the hotel had provided.
Just after he returned to the lounge, Cait came out carrying Erin in her arms, and both Carson and Rodney smiled, Rodney reaching out to take their daughter into his arms.
"Sleep well, sweetpea?" he asked.
"Yes," she said before pointing toward the window. "What's that?"
Turning, they looked to see what looked to be flurries through the slit in the curtains, so Carson went over and opened them slightly. Sure enough, it was snowing outside.
"It's snow, sweetheart," Carson told her.
"Snow?" she repeated as Rodney brought her over to the window.
"Aye. It's cold, but fun to play in. At least when you're a little one."
Erin looked out the window with wide eyes. "Ohhhh."
