Watching the girls pick out the plush toys they wanted in the gift shop amused Carson, especially with the way Charlie asked for her whale. Cait was right - it was almost impossible to say no to her when she asked like that. Though he knew that they'd have to, considering that there was the future her's tendency to do whatever she wanted.
When Charlie told them what she was naming her whale, Carson found himself laughing, especially given Rodney's reaction. His husband looked over at him with a glare and a slight pout.
"It'd not funny," he said with a huff.
"You're not in a competition with Daniel, you know, love," Carson told him as they took the toys over to the register to pay for them.
Rodney shook his head. "People like him better. Even my own daughters like him better."
"If you think that, you really are daft," he told him, swatting him lightly before handing over some money to the clerk. "Your daughters love you."
When Rodney turned around to hand Erin her seal, she wrapped her arms around his leg and kissed it before looking up at him. "Thank you, Daddy!"
Carson raised his eyebrows at him. See?
Once both girls had their toys back, they went to the cafe and had some lunch before heading to the dolphin show. Charlie and Erin were both amazed, their eyes wide as they watched the tricks and when the trainer got in the water with them.
"Want to swim with them too!" Erin said.
"Maybe when you're older," Rodney told her with a laugh.
