Shaking her head, Caitlin sat back on the couch and cuddled Charlie close to her. She was about to say something to Carson about how touchy he'd been lately but stopped when Rodney suggested they go to Vancouver in the morning. "Sounds like a plan," she said before looking at Erin. "And they have seals there, too."
"'Eals!" Charlie said before throwing her hands in the air.
When the food arrived, Caitlin handed Charlie over to Rodney and went to get it. She set the table and soon all of them were sitting down and eating. As they ate, Rodney told them of a few things they could do in Vancover. Caitlin added a few things Jeannie had told her about and ignored Rodney when he made faces. Obviously he didn't share the same tastes as his younger sister.
After dinner, they cleaned up and put the girls down on the floor so they could play for a bit before bedtime. Smiling, Caitlin told her husbands to sit down on the couch before she went to her luggage. Inside one of the bigger pieces were two gifts she'd gotten them. When she came back out, she handed one of the boxes to Carson, which held a new state of the art fishing pole.
"And one for you," she said as she handed the other box to Rodney. "You have no idea how hard it was to keep these a secret."
Rodney took the box and ripped the paper off it. "A Batmobile and Batboat!" he exclaimed. "I always wanted these as a kid but my parents wouldn't get them for me!" He stared down at the box with a huge grin on his face. "Oh! Our hotel in Vancouver better have a bathtub so I can try out the boat! Thank you, Cait! I love you so much!"
"I love you too," she laughed as Rodney practically pounced on her.
