"I missed you too," Kyri said, gently caressing her thumb across Michaela's jawline. She knew that if they went to her hut, they'd end up missing the entirety of Story Night. During the weeks she had been at the Sangui village, they had managed to miss a few things because they had become so wrapped up in each other.
So instead, she walked with her back out into the main part of the village. She wasn't surprised when her cousin said Evan was the perfect person. Michaela seemed to have very good instinct. She gave her a smile before looking back at Evan was he said he should be leaving.
"No. Michaela's right - you don't have to leave," she said. "We're going to be starting our Story Night soon. You should stay."
"I..." He looked back and forth between them. "I don't want to--."
"We love it when others join us. So stay. Please. Besides Latro always speaks. It would be a good chance for you to get to see him if you're to paint him."
Evan looked between them before finally nodded. "I see you've found someone just as determined as you, Michaela," he said with a smile. "All right. I'll stay."
"Good!" Kyri responded. "Come on. We can get some food and find ourselves a seat."
Taking both their hands, she lead them to the circle at the center of the village.
