"Evan's a really nice guy and I hope the two of you get the chance to get to know each other," Michaela said. She wanted to tell Kyri she would never hurt her but before she could, she was being pulled to the side of the hut. Raising her eyebrows she was about to say something to Kyri but all thoughts flew out the window when she started to kiss her.
Groaning, Michaela wrapped her arms around the other woman and returned the kiss. When they broke apart, she rested her forehead against Kyri's. "I missed you," she whispered before giving her a soft kiss. "Maybe we should go inside or stop before I end up getting carried away. The last thing I want is for someone to catch us."
Michaela took Kyri's hand and walked out into the village with her. Evan was just coming outof Kaevan's hut and the two men walked over to them. "I believe I have found the perfect person to do my father's painting," Kaevan said with a smile.
"Thank you," Evan said before he glanced at Michaela. "I should probably get back to the Gate."
"You don't have to leave," Michaela said before she glanced over at Kyri. "You don't mind if he stays for a bit longer, do you?"
