"We can only hope," John said. She was right, though. Since they were off duty now and away from Atlantis, not talking about the Wraith or work sounded like a great idea. Especially given that she felt very good snuggled against him, and he could think of several things he would rather be doing.
All of which, he very much intended on getting to once they'd had their lunch.
Reaching over, he picked up his water and took a sip before taking a bite of his sandwich. He looked over at her when she mentioned that they needed to build something there that they could use for staying over night. He let out a small laugh and rubbed his hand against her back between her shoulder blades.
"I was, actually. So either I wasn't blocking very well or you're getting better picking me up." He leaned over and kissed her. "But I think a cabin or tent would be a very good thing to have here. Better than a blanket."
He chuckled. "Of course, the trick would be getting everything out here without tipping the others off as to what we're doing and where we're going."
