I thought a few coins was supposed to be a lot of money in the Old West, John told Fred.
He continued dancing with her until Alex came over, wanting to dance with him. Giving his daughter a smile, he leaned over and picked her up, holding her in his arms as she kicked her legs in time to the music.
"Having fun, pumpkin?" he asked.
Alex nodded her head enthusiastically. "Want to do this again!"
"Maybe next year," he told her. That was two votes that they had for another party. He glanced over and saw Finn jumping up and down as he watched them. "I think someone wants you to dance with him some more."
He put her down and watched her run over to him. They took each other's hands and started jumping up and down together while Peyton did the same thing as she held Erin's hands. Erin, though, wasn't quite sure what to do and was looking up and her Papa and Mama. Nearby, Sam and Daniel were holding each other close, Sam resting her head against her husband's shoulder. Paul and Radek were standing close together too, not quite dancing, but close enough.
Soon, CT was calling them to gather in the middle of the room, and once they had, Rodney and Fred brought out the cakes. After they sang Happy Birthday to Cait, Carson kissed his wife once Rodney had, and then Maggie started a rendition of Happy Anniversary for Jenifer and Ronon. The cakes were then cut up and passed around, everyone taking a piece.
"Fred, look," he said with a laugh, pointing to Finn and Alex who were feeding each other their cake in imitation of Jennifer and Ronon.
