Only a few coins? I'll have to see about getting you a discount, Fred told her husband right before she heard Rodney. She pulled back and looked over at him, and shook her head when John pulled out his gun. Boys. She looked up at her husband and started to return the kiss when she felt someone tug on her dress.
Breaking the kiss, she looked down to see Alex standing there. "What's up, sweetie?" she asked.
"Can I dance with daddy?"she asked.
"Of course," Fred grinned before she stepped back. "Just make sure he doesn't shoot anyone."
"Okay, mommy!"
Fred looked around, deciding it was about time to get Cait's birthday cake out, knowing some of the little kids wouldn't last much longer. She started toward the back of the room but stopped when she saw Daniel asking Sam to dance. "I'll take Pooh off your hands," she said as she took Chase from Sam so she could dance with her husband. She then looked down at her son. "You can help me with the cake, Pooh."
"Winnie the Pooh. Winnie the Pooh," Chase sang.
"Did I hear something about cake?" Rodney asked from behind her.
Fred shook her head and motioned for Rodney to follow her. When they got to the back of the room, she handed Chase over to him and pulled out the cake they'd gotten for Cait. She put four candles on it and pulled out a lighter.
"Hey! Cait's older than that," Rodney pointed out.
"You don't put all the candles on a girl's cake, Rodney," Fred said with a laugh. She lit the candles and nodded toward CT, who killed the music and told everyone to meet in the middle of the room.
After handing Chase off to Paul, Rodney carried Jennifer and Ronon's anniversary cake, while Fred carried the birthday cake. They Cait come forward and she pulled off her mask as everyone sang 'Happy Birthday' to her. She then stepped closer to blow out her candles.
"Don't forget to make a wish!" Alex said as everyone chuckled.
"I won't, munchkin," Cait said before she blew out the candles.
"Happy Birthday, Cait," Rodney said before he leaned over and softly kissed her.
