While Cait finished putting Erin to bed once Charlie was in her crib, Carson went out and made sure the kitchen was cleaned up. He could still feel that Rodney was so happy for his sister. He had barely been able to contain it all night, but now as the other man put the rest of Erin's toys away in the other room, he could hear him leaking thoughts about being an uncle. Of course, they were honorary uncles to the other children in the city, but he knew it was different this time.
After wiping the counter, he hung the towel up and went out into the other room as Cait came in and asked if they wanted their bath. Rodney's reaction made it quite obvious that he quite wanted that. Although he wasn't sure that the three of them could fit into the tub together.
"How about a shower," Carson suggested with a laugh, taking their hands and tugging them toward the bathroom.
"That'll work," Rodney said.
After they had showered - which took a little bit of time considering the three of them had trouble keeping their hands off each other - they got ready for bed and climbed in together, cuddling up together.
"Now, Rodney - remember, no running over to your sister and telling her you know she's pregnant tomorrow," Carson said.
"You act like I do that sort of thing all the time." There was silence for a moment before Rodney let out a mock exasperated sigh. "All right, all right. I won't."
