Caitlin waved goodbye to Carson and Rodney before glancing over at Fred. "Going to go see Kathryn and Caleb?" she asked as both of them turned and started out of the Gate room and toward one of the transporters.
"Probably this afternoon. I don't want to keep bugging them," Fred said with a small laugh. "How's the research going with the data Sam and Daniel brought about Molly?"
Shrugging, Caitlin turned a corner and glanced at Fred again. "It's coming along. Some of it is a little unorganized, which I guess is to be expected if Doctor Suresh was trying to do his research while trying to hide Molly. I still haven't found anything that can help us here but I'm still looking," she explained.
The two of them stepped onto the transporter and in a matter of seconds where near the labs and medical. Caitlin turned toward her lab but before she could walk off, Fred was calling after her.
"Don't forget the catalogs for our Halloween party is coming today! You still need to pick out what flavor cake you want," Fred reminded her.
Caitlin nodded and turned around. They had decided to have a Halloween party, that would also be a celebration for her birthday and Ronon and Jennifer's anniversary. "Just bring it down to breakfast tomorrow and I'll look at it," she said before she waved goodbye to Fred and walked off.
Once she was in her lab, Caitlin went to her office and started to pour over Mohinder's research. It was slow going, which frustrated her since she had projects to finish with Carson. Of course Carson was going to be off-world all day with John's team so Caitlin decided to take advantage and try to get through most of the research. She didn't know how long she'd been sitting there when Jennie suddenly appeared.
"Caitlin? Are you busy?"
Looking up, Caitlin smiled. "What's up, Jeannie?" she asked.
"Well, um, I think I might be pregnant and since Carson isn't here, I was wondering if you could do the test? I know Jennifer's here and as much as I adore her, you have to admit she has a big mouth and wil tell everyone and I kind of want to keep it between Tim and I for a while," Jeannie explained.
Caitlin nodded, knowing how Jeannie felt. It was nice to be able to keep such a thing private until you were ready to tell everyone. "I can do the test for you," she said as she stood from her chair. She went over to one of her cabinets and pulled out a sample cup and handed it to Jeannie.
When the other woman came back with her sample, Caitlin put on a pair of latex gloves and went to medical to test it. Jennifer was busy talking to one of the nurses so she went to the back and pulled out a pregnancy test to use on the sample. Within a few moments, she had the results and grinned. Leaving the test on the table, she hurried back to her lab and grinned at Jeannie.
"It's positive," she said.
Jeannie looked at her in surprised before pulling her into a tight hug. "Oh my God! Thank you so much! I can't believe it worked!" she excitedly said. When she pulled back, Caitlin could see the tears in Jeannie's eyes.
"Go be with your husband. And tell him he has the rest of the day off," Caitlin said with a grin. "And don't worry, I won't tell Rodney."
Jeannie thanked Caitlin again and rushed out of the room. Shaking her head, Caitlin sat back down and started on the research again. When late afternoon rolled around, she decided to take the rest of the day off since she was almost finished. After locking everything up, she went to pick up the girls, glad to see Charlie had decided to take a nap that day.
"Papa and dada?" Erin asked as they walked down to their quarters.
"They'll be back soon," Caitlin told her daughter.
She put Charlie in her crib once they were inside and softly yawned. "How about we take a nap too? I bet your daddy and papa will be home by the time we get up," Caitlin said to Erin.
"Okay, mama," Erin said.
The both of them climbed into the bed Caitlin shared with Rodney and Carson, and curled up together. "Night, angel," she said before kissing Erin's cheek.
"Night, mama," Erin whispered before the both of them fell asleep.
