"We all gotta die of something." He wasn't worried about anything eating him alive, but these people didn't know that. "Sweet of you to be concerned though." He wore a tight lipped smile at her reprimanding someone. People were nosey, it was just in their nature.
"Well, kinda trying to prolong going back. But I have to today, have obligations." He tilted his head and swigged his coffee once more. "Been all over, just needed a break from things... and a few people."
Alcide chuckled and shook his head. "No ma'am, my mind didn't even get near the gutter. Promise you that." He shook his head. "Women haven't proven to be my strong suit you could say." And boy was that putting it mildly. "I'm better off alone for the time being." He watched her walk away and go tend to her kid.
