Arian pulled her old truck into the parking lot of the little coffee shop she'd opened there, with the help of her cousin Alcide. Growing up they'd always been close, she stayed in trouble, a bit of a delinquent in her early teens. About six months ago she'd moved to Bon Temps to be closer to her cousin since her parents had moved them up North. He'd recently moved here himself, just before she had. Arian new his secret, not many of their family members did know if they weren't a wolf themselves. She was not since her mother had been a human.
She'd found out about Alcide by accident a few years ago, and she swore to him she'd never breathe it to anyone. Arian hefted her bag over her shoulder and jumped down out of the truck. Going to the door she unlocked it and went inside, locking the door behind her. She had a couple employees, but they wouldn't come in for another couple hours. It took a while for things to pick up. She went to the back and started on the pastries and such that she sold, ground the coffee and did all her usual morning practices.
It was strange though, as of late the place was a bit busier, people she'd never seen before. But she didn't think much of it. Arian made sure the place was in tip top shape from the night before and as usual her crew didn't let her down. It took about an hour for her to get everything ready and she flipped the sign and unlocked the door. It didn't take long before her usual morning customers started traipsing in, as well as a few strangers she'd never seen before. But either way it was helping her business.
Her shop was just down the street from Merlottes. She and Sam had gotten along pretty well, hit it off as friends even though at first he'd hit on her a little bit. He was sweet, but she wasn't interested. The farthest thing from her mind was getting involved with anyone, not after what she'd been through. The little rush finally ended and she drug her fingers through her curly hair before brewing some more coffee. The place was about half full, a couple people at the tables outside a couple more inside.
She heard the bell jingle and looked up, well this person had certainly never been to her little place before.
