So far, Jo hadn't found much in the way of overly paranormal things... if one counted noticing bottles called True Blood and hearing about vampires roaming around freely weren't overly paranormal. The vampires were all Jo had heard about so far. She had no idea about the shifters or the weres... but when she did find out, things would turn out to be very interesting indeed. These vampires (and by extension, the weres and shifters) were completely different than what Jo was used to seeing in the typical species she came across over her time on Earth (both the first and now the second).
Running a hand through her hair, Jo sighed. She needed to think about her next move. Figure out where her skills needed to be put to work. Mainly because it seemed that there were people here who sided with the vampires. And there were people here who wanted them gone. And then there were the idiots going out and taking their blood for some kind of new drug that Jo had only just recently heard about. It was all a little overwhelming.
How was one really going to tell the difference between a vampire who didn't want to hurt people and the ones who did? Especially when, after talking to people, it seemed that they had their own hierarchy as well. To Jo, this was all one big charlie foxtrot waiting to happen. In other words, a clusterfuck. Jo didn't understand one bit of it, and usually on her cases she had something to grasp firmly too. Here, anytime she tried, it slipped right out of her hands. For Jo, it was like being stuck at Harvelle's Roadhouse unable to hunt again. It was frustrating. It was annoying. And it made Jo want to scream.
