Bon Temps, Louisiana... Jo had only been here one other time, and it had been when she was on a hunt for a poltergeist. That had been an interesting hunt, she had to admit. It had also wound up being one of the few that had her crashing through a window and needing a number of stitches. That casper had been a real bitch about leaving and had fought tooth and nail to stay put, but she'd made sure he'd hightailed it to Heaven or Hell, where ever he was headed to. With the way he was putting her into walls through the whole thing, she figured it was the latter. And why a man chose to be buried underneath his own house made her wonder at his sanity. Lord only knew what he'd been thinking. But what she'd been thinking was that she needed to get him out so that the family who actually bought the place could be in it without being hurt. He'd been an ornery son of a bitch. That had been a good two years before. Now, she was pulling through again, hearing about all the supernatural mess that seemed to be centered, well, here. And her first stop wasn't a hotel. It was a bar and grill callled Merlotte's. She'd eaten here before and she hoped the food was just as good as it had been then, because if that were the case, then this was her spot for food while she was here. The motel to sleep at and the bar and grill to eat and drink at. With those two essentials pretty much taken care of, she was set to start looking around and investigating around this place. She just had to make sure she kept on her game. People here were different than people up north or to the east. They may be more open and fun loving, but they were also more suspicious of newcomers. Jo just hoped that someone might remember her from last time. If not, she'd just have to make sure she made some friends in town. That shouldn't prove too hard. She was hot, she was new in town, and she knew how to work a crowd or a person. Running a hand through her hair as she parked her truck, she slipped out and headed inside, looking around the place. It was the same, except for some of the employees. Jo loved that immediately. It hadn't seemed to change much at all, so Jo started looking around for an empty seat. That was when she was greeted by a redheaded woman who looked like she was about to bust with nerves and anxiety. Raising an eyebrow, she told her that she was alone and was led to a table not too far from the bar. Vaguely, she wondered what had the woman so up in arms, then decided she might just follow her and see later on. There was a lot of weird stuff going down in this town from what she understood, she just figured she had to get to the crux of the problem. |
