So, because JKR now has a twitter, I went to her website after so long of not looking at it and started flipping through the 'wizard of the month' archives and kept coming across some really interesting random people. So, if anyone's creativity or plotiness wants to be inspired, here are a few:
Carlotta Pinkstone (1922-present)
Famous campaigner for lifting the International Confederation of Wizard's Statue of Secrecy and telling Muggles that wizards still exist. Ms. Pinkstone has been imprisoned several times for her blatant and deliberate use of magic in public places.
Jocunda Sykes (1915-present)
Famous for flying across the Atlantic on a broomstick - the first person to do so.
Hambledon Quince (1936-present)
Author of controversial theory that wizards originate from Mars, Muggles from mushrooms.
Lorcan d'Eath (1964-present)
Heartthrob singer, part vampire, nineteen weeks at number 1 with hit song 'Necks to You'.
Laurentia Fletwock (1947-present)
Celebrated breeder and racer of winged horses. Has campaigned for tighter restrictions on broomstick use.
Daisy Hookum (1962-present)
Wrote bestseller 'My Life as a Muggle', after giving up magic for a year. Married to celebrity gardener Tilden Toots.
Glenda Chittock (1964-present)
Popular presenter on the WWN programme 'Witching Hour'.
Tarquin McTavish (1955-present)
Imprisoned for crimes against Muggle neighbour, who was discovered trapped inside McTavish's kettle.
Two former Ministers are on there too and not sure if they are in any of the lexicon places yet or not. Although Artemisia Lufkin has been mentioned already:

Featured artists include Ian Kelly Actor, writer and presenter and author of ‘Cooking For Kings’ Casanova, Sunday Times Biography of the year. Currently filming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and appearing in The Pitmen Painters at the National Theatre (Best play, Evening Standard Awards, performance of the year) prior to Broadway. ‘One of the foremost British actors of his generation’ Lord Attenborough. Also featuring Sadie Jones, Anita Sethi, Jeanette Edgar, Rachel Goodwin author of ‘The Exotic cookbook’, Murray Lachlan Young fresh from performing at this years Glastonbury festival he was the first poet to sign a million pound record deal with EMI records, Catalan author / journalist Jordi Punti - will be flying in from Barcelona to join us, with music from fresh young new talent Sam Margin, Soraya and Alice Gun- ‘Really beautiful and profoundly affecting’ – Tom Robinson, BBC 6. The school year's started and I know my school schedule (although not internship/work schedules yet) and well because of it, i'll be heading to bed earlier. I'll probably be online between 7-10pm ET most weeknights and then intermittently during the day. Of course, since the doc just put me on heavy drugs to knock out an infection, so things may change. But just a general fyi that there probably won't be much more late night gaming during the week for me. :( silly schedules.
Which isn't to say I wont have time to play. :) So, if anyone needs an MI7 agent, or a priest, as well Zach or Penny, let me know. The kids are all up for play. |

Hi; I'm back from AFK and whipped, but am available to play again.
Harry is due to turn himself in to the Order. I don't know if that message was communicated via Katie, but he is sending out patronuses to Percy and Charlie.

I've been putting this off for far longer than I probably should have. I had hoped that, if I waited, the drive would come back. I thought if I plotted and planned things, that maybe I'd get back the urge to play here. But neither of those things happened. The only thing that happened was that the fact that I was sitting around, not having the desire to do anything with the game, made me feel worse about it.
I continued putting this off because, while I knew in the long run that getting out sooner rather than later would be less problematic than waiting, I felt bad about breaking what felt like promises to people I plotted with.
I'm sorry to do this, and I really to feel kind of terrible about it, but I don't have the spark for WP that I once had. My apologies to the people I had laid groundwork for plot with, and to those I had dangling threads with.
I enjoyed it while the magic lasted for me, and I hope you all continue to have fun.
Feel free to use my characters for cannon fodder if cannon fodder is needed. I know Emma would appreciate going out in a blaze of glory. But if not, feel free to NPC them as needed. |

Mommie Dearest has returned as an NPC, played by Elizabeth. The PB is Dianne Wiest, suggested by the lovely Karen (thanks, Karen!). In honor of Dianne, I watched Practical Magic last night, wherein she plays a witchy maiden aunt. :)
Molly should be returning soon, and will be sending owls to her babies er... mature, adult children (who can certainly take care of themselves -- no, really) to let them know when to expect her. |

Hey, all. Kari here, introducing my third character (who used to be an NPC). This is Janice Grieve, Muggle second cousin to Oliver Wood, who got pulled into this whole mess at the end of December 2007 when Oliver's wife and her family was attacked. From a few months after that until recently, she's been working at a Muggle hospital in Bangor, Gwynedd, Wales (not all that far from Snowdonia) as an A&E nurse. This month she relocated to London (Greenwich, to be specific) to work with Adrian and Gus at their clinic.
Her wiki page has most of the pertinent info, as does her profile in her journal, so feel free to take a look. If she doesn't know you already, there's a chance she may be patching you up one day in the future. :D |

Hey there;
The weekend of the 21st is my best friend's wedding in which I am a bridesmaid. I am AFK from next Thursday the 20th to Sunday the 23rd and that is marked on the google calendar. That said, I'm trying to get ahead work-wise to accomodate the two days off, and preparations for travel/ wedding stuff will be gobbling up my brain cells for the next two weeks. I'll be tagging in, but a bit more slowly than usual and probably not from 9-5 EST.
