Hey, everybody.

I have a budget for setting up a practice area here, and information on what we can do about a shooting range, so we should probably get together and all talk about what exactly we need so I don't end up spending it all on my own and not getting everything we need.

You wanted pictures of the IDs. They're fuzzy.

So. Do we have some space in this house or nearby where we can set up a proper sort of practice space? I mean, some of us have physical abilities we'd like to keep in shape, and I can't exactly do a tumbling run under a normal ceiling. And if I try teaching TKD in the living room, one of us is going to break a toe kicking the coffee table. And really, all of us ought to know a little self-defense, considering the current political climate. I don't want anyone to end up getting bashed.

Plus, well, there's dancing. Which Del is pretty good at and it takes space.

Then there's the whole it'd be nice to have an idea how we work together and all so we don't accidentally shoot each other because that would be amazingly painful and hard to heal from and not help the cause at all.

We need space, and a budget, and some idea of what you're okay with us laying in for equipment. Bars, mirrors, and mats at a minimum, I'm thinking, plus a good twenty foot ceiling.

Hey everybody!

So, now that we've all had time to do our things, I guess it's time to figure out whether it amounted to anything, and whether we're any closer to actually finding Richard Barton.

Maxxie, Mickey, JT and I went to his last known address, and since Mickey can walk through walls, we were able to get inside, even though the neighbors were less than helpful in the information department. One of them did tell us that they thought he might have a roommate who might work at a design studio.

Anyway, we went inside and found Mr. Barton's ID, along with about seven others. I wrote down the names and stuff, but I didn't take them. It didn't look like anything had been packed up, so either they were just not in but were still living there, or they just didn't expect to be gone after whenever they last left.

So kind of a dead end there.

Anyone else get anything else?

Okay. I'm really bad at organizing but here is an attempt:

Matt had a good idea about splitting up. Maybe some of us should go and ask around in Jokertown and the others should chase down the lead that Alec drummed up - you know, the last known address?

So, I'm going to Jokertown to go see what I can dig up from the people I used to chill with. Um. Maybe respond with a 1 or a 2 for the one you want to go on? 1 for Jokertown, 2 for Alec's leads.

Does anyone else want to go on the mission to find that dude in that picture? I am absolutely down for that! Does anyone know who that guy is? I tried to Google him but there are a lot of Richard Bartons.

Article buried in the late night feed:

A 34-year-old man visiting from Pasco was assaulted by a group of young men early on Thursday in Pioneer Square, and the police said they were investigating the attack as a possible wild card bias crime.

The victim was in Swedish Medical Center in serious condition, said local police. A law enforcement official later identified the victim as Richard Barton.

Two men, believed to be in their mid 20s to early 30s, approached the man as he was getting into a taxicab about 2 a.m. on Thursday, Mr. Barton said. They slammed the door of the vehicle shut and then pursued him when he tried to get into another taxi. One of the men punched him in the face, causing him to fall and hit his head, Barton said.

“I got him good,” the assailant said, according to Barton. Barton did not cite any specific reason for the bias theory. The Police Department’s chief spokesman, declined on Thursday evening to say why investigators believe the attack to be a possible bias crime. It did not appear to be a robbery, since the man still had his wallet.

The police said they did not know where Barton had been just before the two men attacked him.

Part of 1st Avenue was still closed off in the afternoon, and bloody rags littered the street in front of the Victory Cafe. Gemma Hedro, the manager, said she had been told that a woman came to the door after the restaurant had closed and asked the cleaning staff for rags and ice, saying a man had been hurt.

“At that hour of the night it gets a little scarier.” Hedro said there had been attacks against wild cards periodically.“I think it is safe to say probably two or three times a year,” she said. “It certainly deters people coming down late in the evening. It is terrible. And getting worse.”
