Since arriving, Sherlock had looked over the network that people communicated on. He'd seen a few faces that both concerned and faintly elated him, others having conversations he could have gone without reading, and several strange oddities that seemed ot occur without much of a warning accord to what he'd read. It made him all the more curious around town. It helped too that when he made his own post on the network, it had been mentioned that the town had a library. He assumed it also would have a government building. The library was his first stop. He stopped to see if there were any sorts of written record. Perhaps old newspapers or books on the town. Ledgers, something, anything that would give him history and names that he could further research online on his phone. The librarian there oddly looked familiar but he'd avoided speaking to them on account of wanting to focus. He could navigate the Dewey decimal system just fine on his own, thank you. After the library, he meandered through the town center in search of the governing building. Likely, they might have some sort of history on the town where the library lacked. A mayor or perhaps some sort of judiciary who would know where to find such information. He did have to stop and ask in one of the shops if they knew the way, but no one could seemingly give him a straight answer. "I need a map," he muttered to himself as he stood on the sidewalk, tapping on his mobile phone in hopes of looking one up online. |
