Who: Ben and Jacob Where: Jacob's apartment What: Ben can't lie Jacob has no powers When: Backdated to Monday Rating/Warning: I would assume low
Everything felt... off. As much as Jacob sort of hated what he was he had also sort of figured out that being human was just a weird experience. Everything was just muted in a sense. He couldn't hear quite as well, he couldn't smell things the way he normally could. A normal human's senses weren't nearly as sharp as a wolf's or, in his case, a fox's. It left him feeling on edge even if he knew he wasn't in any sort of danger here. Ben was around. If any hunter decided to come for him while he was at a disadvantage his friend would stop them. Hopefully. Jacob would still feel better if he could defend himself or lend Ben a hand in a fight but he trusted the other to, at least, warn him to run if need be.
Stepping out of his bedroom he moved to flop down on both Ben and the couch, deciding this was the perfect opportunity to be dramatic. "Bennnnn!" He whined. "The world is weird again. Fix it." Not that the other could fix it or would even know what he was talking about without some sort of explanation. "My senses are off. I'm not, you know, foxy anymore." Which was weird considering that, unlike a vampire or a werewolf, his kind was born that way. He couldn't go out, bite someone, and accidentally make a new one. That was part of the reason they were so rare and nearly extinct.
He sat up as he realized he hadn't checked up on what might be wrong with Ben. "Wait. Are you okay? You're not a girl again, are you? Maybe a child? Older Ben? That was kind of hot, I won't lie." Not now that he didn't have to, at least. "Are you still my Ben or do I have to be the reasonable one and try to take charge. Bad choice by the way. I'm terrible at taking charge and the responsible thing."
