THIS is a surprise the likes of which I thought I'd never see again.

On that note, is there anyone around here who can take a quick look at a wound? I didn't want to go ahead and stitch it with not knowing what the swamp creatures in this place are and if they've got any venom in their teeth or claws? And also if there's anything in here that might ward off a bad cold or worse?

We've had an...unfortunate incident, getting in, you see. I was able to dispatch the thing with my sgian, somehow, but NOT before it managed to douse Aedan pretty throughly. He says he's fine but he seems...shaken is the most respectful best way I can put it. I know I'm bloody shaken, but I didn't want to do much more on my own before I"d checked with someone after making sure he's not left any blood trails.

We should be to a village proper soon, I hope THE village proper, but as I've no idea what I'm doing...
