Scarlett didn't look back to make sure he was following as she walked out of the dusty saloon to the even dustier streets of Sweetwater. He'd follow. She knew he would. It could have been his programming, it could have been fascination, but she knew he'd catch up to her, and then he did. "Well, look at that. You're smiling already, and we haven't even gotten to the fun parts," she remarked with a smirk of her own.
"How dark do you go, cowboy?" she asked, as her eyes lazily scanned the people around them. "By which I mean, do you need more justification to hurt somebody than me asking you prettily?" Scarlett batted her eyelashes at him for effect.
